Bloomingdale is a town of approximately 22,000 located along the Chicago-Galena Highway (known as US-20 Lake Street). It is located within DuPage County, and is surrounded by cities like Carol Stream and Roselle.
The town is best known for the 1,300,000-square-foot Stratford Square Mall that includes major department stores such as Carson’s, J.C. Penny, Sears, and Macy’s, as well as over 150 specialty stores. The mall is undergoing a $50 million improvement project expected to be completed in 2021.
Old Town Park offers endless celebrations and festivals including concerts, movies, and the annual Septemberfest celebration. Nearby public golf courses Pheasant Run Resort and Bloomingdale Golf Club satisfy enthusiasts of all levels.
Bloomingdale is part of five elementary school districts, and is divided between high school District 87 and District 108, though most high school students are split between Glenbard East or Glenbard North high schools.
