Dundee is divided into two villages, West Dundee and East Dundee. The villages are home to populations of approximately 7,500 and 2,800, respectively. The town is located in Kane County, and is nearby Carpentersville, Hoffman Estates, and Algonquin.
Dundee takes full advantage of its historic and scenic location, offering the annual Heritage Fest, St. Patrick’s Day celebration, and Concerts & Movies in the Park. Visitors flock from surrounding communities to the downtown area to join in on the festivities.
Dundee is part of school District 300, with most residents attending Dundee-Crown High School.
Since its earliest years, the town has been divided by the natural barrier of the Fox River, where the Riverwalk plan serves as one of the best recreation areas in the northwest suburbs.
